The saga continues

First came the indisputable evidence that a pest had cozied up in my van.

Next was the bread crumbs on the closet floor.

Now we have the lingering odor of a mouse gone on before us.

So stinky, so offensive.
I remember this happening to my parents home time and time again. A mouse dies in the walls or somewhere you can't locate. I also remember my father and Grandpa H. cutting a hole in the drywall to remove the offender(s).

Anyone have a solution to this problem or do we just have to wait out the potent stench?

The simplest solution: MOVE.

Just be glad it's summer so you can open the window.

Bake cookies, who can resist that smell. Wait it out, after a while unless it is real humid the smell gets less and less. Blame it on the kids spilling milk. Consider it the smell of success, since at least it is not running carefree through-out your house. (PS. if you dig them out of your walls the fur can make real lifelike coon-skinned hats for Joy's Barbies)

I know your pain and smell.
When we were ripping out drywall in this house, we found several dead mice (the best kind!) in the walls. I have caught several under the cooktop in the wastebasket cupboard over the past couple years. I can't even pick up the sticky trap without gagging! They are so disgusting! Maybe you need a cat!

You need to ask my mom about the time a raccoon got in her attic, crawled down between the studs and died . . . the smell was horrific! Mike had to tear the faux wood paneling and the drywall off, pull out the dead carcus and clean up all of the blood that drained out of it's mouth (it got stuck up-side-down). Yummy!

Look on the bright side; a mouse is better than a coon!
