Place your bets.

This year, just how long will it be before we take down our Christmas tree?

Our previous personal record is January 25. That is two full months of Christmas tree delight. One year we had lights on the house until Valentine's Day.

Why is it so hard to take it all down and store it away?

WIERDOS!!! We took down the tree Saturday and the lights Monday. No more Christmas at our house!

Anyway, I'm betting the over on the 25th.

I will bet against Brad and say before.

We took ours down on the 2nd. The latest I have ever had mine up. It is such a pain to put away, that is why I procrastinated.

We used to have a 6 foot fake tree, I never took it down, covered it with a tree bag and put it in the corner of our storage room in the basement, the next year I uncovered it, took it upstairs and plugged it in, Wala Merry Christmas!!

After reading that I realize two things,
1 My wife might not have wanted me to post that and
2 I am sweet

I bet it comes down before Tami posts a new blog

Nicole - apparently you don't know Chelle very well.

Raging-Cow - I think you meant voila (wala?? Figtionary?) - and we leave our tree partially assembled as well, soooo much easier

Oh and to Blogger Nation - amen to that!

don't feel so bad, my decoration are still up too, including my tree and I don't see them coming down for a while yet mainly because I still have a Christmas party at my house on the 19th, when we'll see if I feel like taking the tree down. I never fully put the tree away last year. I just put it in the corner in the toy room.

To answer the question: Why is it so hard to take it all down? My two answers are 1)Because that means that you have to wait an entire year for Christmas to come again. 2)Because it is a pain in the booty.

You need to play the pregnancy card this year. Its much to hard for you to do. Well then again it will probably take all year if you have to wait for dan to do it by himself :)

That is a bunch of B.S. Don't drag me into this!!

Oh Chelle, You have quite a bit of your ole mom in ya. I so struggle with getting started taking it down. Tonight I got the totes upstairs so I could look at those awhile. Tomorrow I will get at it because the Fig is home and then he can take the tree downstairs. It's sad but has to be done and I'm always glad when I'm done. I predict you will do it this week but you must do it when Danny can help. That's the secret, sorry Dan.

No bets here. I don't see anymore Christmas lights in the windows at your house so they must be down. Ours came down on Wednesday, after new years. Thanks to Betsy, Nick and Johnny, it didn't take too long. You know I never ask Dad to help with that anymore!! (inside joke!)
It's always so nice to have them up but seems to be even nicer when they come down for some reason. Just nice to get the house back in some sort of order again! Love you, Mom
