Monday the boys start school.
Monday the house will be bustling at 7am instead of 9am.
Monday carpooling will commence.
Monday making lunches returns.
Monday means new shoes, new crayons, and new faces.
Monday the countdown begins for summer vacation 2008.
Am I the only one that doesn't love "Back to School" ????

I love back to school! I love backpacks, teachers, structure, school supplies, art projects and feild trips!...and a super huge outlet for my kidlets!
I'm always ready for the routine of the school year, but I know next summer is 9 months away! Won't be long and we'll be closing up the pool and that's always a sad day. A little different for me than it is for you,since my baby is going to high school! My second year of no carpooling. Been there, done that, for 22 years. You'll do just fine!
My computer ate my download once. It bites!
Brendan is ready for school, so I don't think it will be so hard for me for my kid's first day of school. The hardest part for me is getting up....I'm not a morning person.
Since when did the summer end BEFORE Labor Day and school start BEFORE Labor Day, That ROTS!

It's those Christian Schools, they paly by their own set of rules.
Since I'm not a morning person, I do hate waking my kids up and then rushing them until the bus comes to pick them up. And this year I have two girls hair to do - oh vey.
I think the school year & summer break happen at just the right time however. By the end of May I am ready for zero structure and by the end of August, I am ready to rejoin all the busyness that fall brings.

Fig says school should start the day after Labor Day and be done the friday before Memorial Day. School should start at 9:00 AM for every one and be finished at 4:00 PM for everyone. Is that so hard? And while we are on the subject every childs lunch should have homemade choc chip cookies.
