Think Pink.

We found out today there is 95 percent probability that our little one will be a girl!
Since Dan couldn't make the ultrasound appointment, I had the tech write it down and seal it in an envelope for future reference. Tonight the kids broke the news to us.

May I have the envelope, please?

Drew was less than thrilled.

Her wish came true.

This was the first time we find out prior to birth what gender our baby would be. I had mixed emotions about finding out. I guess I am a little old fashioned about some things, but it was a really cute-sy family moment having the kids discover what their sibling is going to be.

20 weeks down, 20 to go.

Excellent news!
You're going to have a very symmetrical family :)

I'm glad the little one is healthy, too.

Oh yes! Very symmetrical. Just like the Devos! I think you will now be the Dielos.

What did you do to your blog? The sign in thing is all messed up! Newer is quite often not better!

Braaaaaaaaaaaaaad

Deweys expression is classic. We are happy for the news. Girls, Girls, Girls. I felt the same way, Drew, when I found out that we were going to have a sister called Diane. Nickname?

YAY! You found out! I am excited! And happy to know the girlie is healthy!

Lovin Drew's reaction! Great thing to catch on camera!

Now, onto to the names. At least you can focus on a gender now...

Thank goodness you didn't open the envelope and it said Golden Retriever or something like that.

We are so happy for you, and happy that Joy will now have someone to play with.

If only my other half had a bit of the girl chromosomes I could have know what it was like to have a girl...anyway Congratulation from our family to yours!!!

As one of five girls, and a mom of two ... may I just say, GIRLS RULE! (sorry Drew)

I believe you were requesting some J names, here are some cute ones: Jenna, Josie, Janna, Jillian

I could go on but that would require me to find my baby name book. ;)

Oh,so cute! Congrats! Abby's really hoping for a sister, also. She came home this week with "pink" hair bows from the Christmas shopper at school.

I'm so happy you shared the baby news together as a family. What a nice memory for all. I'm glad you found out this time even though I'm quite old school as you know. We're looking forward to a new granddaughter! Love Mom

So excited to have two baby girls on the hill this Spring! What fun they will have running up and down the drive to "Merma's house". Thanks for finding out! I love knowing! Now I can buy pink things for Christmas! Love Drew's expression too! He'll get used to the idea in no time. It's only fair, after all why should Joy be all alone in this?
Glad all looks good, that's the main thing. Only 20 more weeks! Yea! Love you, Mom D

I know of a little boyfriend for her... Sorry you had to wait so long to hear our news. : )Looking forward to raising these little bambinos together and congrats - how nice for Joy to have a sister!

Do you think she'll look like me for the first couple years again?

YEAH!!! More pink. Congratulations, sorry Drew, but you do have a brother already.

Sigh. . . . I always wanted a sister.

I love Drew's reaction. It's only fair to Joy, though - Drew already has a brother, but Joy doesn't have a sister. Of course, since when is life 'fair'? Congratulations - what a perfect family. I started out the same way and it was wonderful (two boys and then two girls). Love ya! Aunt Marva

Congratulations, Chelle! So excited for your family and can't wait to see you for Christmas and your cute belly. :)

But now with 2 girls, will you change Joy's nickname? Or will you now have Girl 1 and Girl 2? ;)
